With such harsh working conditions no wonder there has been many reports of paranormal activity what will you experience? Will you hear footsteps but no one there? Children's voices or laughter,  knocking & whistling from empty areas? Will you see a dark Shadows? Why not join us and find out! 
History 
Burlesdon Brickworks is a grade ll listed steam powered brickworks built in 1897 by Robert and Edward Ashby. It is the only remaining steam powered Victorian era brickworks in the country. The northern complex was added in 1903 with extensions made in 1935. At its peak more than 20 million bricks a year were produced using clay originally dug by hand in the nearly 40ft deep pits. The brickworks continued to operate during the Great War, and the 2nd world war. The Ministry of Defence requisitioned parts of the site during both wars, this contributed to the decline in supply along with the new Health and Safety at Work Act. 
What makes the Brickworks so unusual is that they were not updated during their working life! Due to lower quality clay and reduced supply along the newly built M27, the Brickworks was closed in 1974 leaving it to fall into disrepair. 
In 2012 the Heritage Lottery Fund granted funds of £666,300 and this grant was awarded to help create the Bursledon Brickworks Museum and Trust
Not much is known about the work life at the brickworks, however the working conditions were less than ideal. Long days in poorly lit and hazardous environment in over 40 degrees heat. 
It is also believed children worked at the brickworks may have been used for the hard to reach jobs, maybe to carry bricks, or carting wet clay. Let's see if we can find out?

Over 18's only. Strictly no drugs, alcohol, or pregnant women.
There will be no ouija boards at this event. As per the venues request. 
 
Deposit is non-refundable or transferable. Final balance due 2 weeks before the event. If the final balance has not been paid, you will lose your space on the event, and tickets may be resold at the final balance price. Final balance £15.
